The purpose of this site is to initiate those who would like to follow the news and politics a bit more, but have no idea where to begin. If you’re confused or frustrated with the idea of having to spend hours watching news programs and read articles recommended by your more politically-minded friends and family – all of which is likely slanted toward one end of the political spectrum, then this site is for you.
For those of you who’ve been immersed in politics for awhile, then this site will provide refuge to you from the alarmism that dominates much of the media landscape today. This alarmism is used to capture the collective’s rapidly dwindling attention that is dispersed in countless directions. Unfortunately that creates content without context. Some stories are much more important than others. But for a network, each day’s advertising spend is equal to the amount of a slow-news day.
There will be considerable time spent on the alarmists and their theories and predictions. It is often helpful in life to analyze the worst (and best) potential consequences to an action to recognize the parameters wherein the consequences might fall. The alarmists can provide these for us and can be very useful in that regard. They can also be hilarious.
Politics is the Greatest Show on Earth – we’re here to make sure you don’t miss the best parts.
