The Exquisitely Bitter Wit & Wisdom of G-Eminem

Any resemblance between Santorum and Sharon Angle is being generous.

Christine O’Donnell is a more apt comparison.

Is Santorum the Sharon Angle of 2012?

End it. Don’t mend it.

Political Fluency – So I just have to change 2011 to 2012 in this post?

“Satan has his sights on the United States of America!” ~Rick Santorum

This is hard to dispute when Rick Santorum is the chief embodiment of his own warning.

Folks who persist in laboring under the delusion that someone other that Willard Romney will be the nominee are the same people who leave cookies out for Santa well into their 40s.

I have long considered Kid Rock to be the Mitt Romney of Rock & Roll: a couple catchy hits, but for the most part you’re afraid to let your kids listen to him.

Political Fluency – This clip should be marked NSFW because just the description got me aroused.

Today marks the first time I have ever used a magnifying glass for anything other than amusement. I had to use an antique magnifying glass whose chief role had been decoration in order to read the nutritional information on a carton of soup.

The conservative movement I adopted a quarter century ago boasted Buckley, Kirk, Reagan and Rand.

The conservative movement I can only squeamishly be associated with today includes Breitbart (R.I.P.), Coulter, Hannity and Santorum.

That, my friends, is a movement that is intellectually and morally torpid.

Political Fluency – Everything is Pull content with the internet, people choose to read or listen to Coulter, Hannity, and Breitbart over Spangler, Samuelsson, and Barone.

Comment (much better said than me) – The intellectual heft isn’t gone, it’s just not easily digestible. There are plenty of thinkers out there, but they don’t make it on TV and Radio because they either don’t talk in sound bites or are outside the accepted range of political thought. The people who succeed in modern politics and media are generally those who use reductive arguments to turn their philosophy into the equivalent of d*ck jokes.

I can tell, with a high degree of certainty, whether you are a Ron Paul or a Rick Santorum supporter based on whether you cheer for the moonshiners or the Alcohol Beverage Control agents on the Discovery Channel’s ‘Moonshiners’.
