The Weekly WIt and Wisdom of G-Eminem

PF Note: I normally do these in chronological order, but this had to be first:

“I want to use all my strength, to resist the notion I can run your lives, or run the economy, or run the world. I want to use that strength to repeal and reject that notion, and stand up and defend the principles of liberty.” ~Ron Paul

With this Tebow phenomenon, we haven’t seen such a messianic charade by a no talent hack since, well, November of 2008. This time it’s the red states. #JesusIsMagic #Tebow

Although neither is my choice for president, I tweeted on Saturday night that Gingrich was right and Romney was wrong on capital gains taxes. AEI explains why.

Let’s see. Our current frontrunner wrote a forward for a book calling for an end to the Jeffersonian framework for the United States, pimped global warming alarmism with Nancy Pelosi, backed an individual mandate for healthcare and is a walking, talking ethical nightmare.

Our erstwhile frontrunner is the intellectual godfather of Obamacare, outdualed Ted Kennedy for the progressive vote in their… Senate contest and is offering up a smorgasbord of Keynesian stimuli and statist tinkering in his governing outline.

Cain dropped out after being exposed as a man-whore. Perry and Bachmann were the August and September flavors of the month, respectively. Santorum is constitutionally illiterate. Huntsman? Please.

If only there was a candidate who had been a consistent champion of small government over, say, a 4 decade-long public career. A candidate who took his or her oath of office so seriously that he or she was often times the only member of Congress voting against an unconstitution usurpation by the federal government. A candidate against whom there was not even a hint of ethical or moral impropriety.

Certainly there must be one such candidate? Who could it be?

In fairness, there are some weird similarities. Both are the least skilled in the country at their position and both are well out of their league.
