The Weekly Wit and Wisdom of G-Eminem

The first guy with an internet forum who recognized my genius was a man named Gary. He asked me to be a Contributing Editor to his site a few years ago. That site has been taken down, however Gary still posts a lot of thoughts and often hilarious insights related to the news on his Facebook page. His middle initial and last name both begin with M so hence the nickname he came up with in the title.

I asked if I could repost his best every week on this site and he agreed to tear every reader’s face off with his diatribes. This will be a little bit like The Week magazine except it won’t suck.

Here we go:

Today is the day America puts aside its differences as we all gather around our 50″ flat screens and collectively hope we get to see Tim Tebow punched in the labia.

POTUS surges from 39% to 43% in approval rating after killing Qaddafi.

If you’re a Third World dictator who was embraced by the President in his first two years in office, you’re not sleeping easy tonight.

Gallup Daily: Obama Job Approval

It should be apparent to even the most casual observer that Ron Washington is doing coke off a toilet seat in the Texas clubhouse.

Another U.S. foreign policy triumph: Free clitoridectomies coming for all Libyan women!

Libyan Transitional Leader: Shariah Will be ‘Basic Source’ of all Law

BENGHAZI, Libya (AP) — Libya‘s transitional leader declared his country’s liberation on Sunday, three days after the hated dictator Moammar Gadhafi was captured and killed. He called on Libyans to show “patience, honesty and tolerance” and eschew hatred as they embark on rebuilding the country at th…

The Republican Party is torpid. But there are a handful of courageous, principled and innovative bright spots. One is Scott Walker and the Republican majority in Wisconsin. Another one is Indian-American brainiac Bobby Jindal who was just reelected by a mongo majority in Louisiana.

Jindal: Four. More. Years – Hot Air

Yay! Free stuff!

Obama to announce actions on housing, student loans

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama this week will announce a series of actions to help the economy that will not require congressional approval, including an initiative to make it easier for

As someone who accumulates Groupons like an LDS accumulates dried foods, I found this article somewhat alarming:

Tucker Max is a cultural treasure. Legacy Amendment money should be appropriated to provide every Minnesotan a copy of ‘A**holes Finish First’ in leather-bound gold leaf.

Legacy Amendment –

G-Eminem can’t, for the life of him, understand why the Raiders gave up so many draft picks for Carson Palmer when they could have gotten Favre for free. He could have thrown 3 interceptions just as well, if not better, than Palmer.

How can he pledge to “preserve, protect and defend” the Constitution when he lacks even a elementary understanding of how it works?

Herman Cain Abortion Amendment: GOP Candidate Makes Constitutional Error

Herman Cain may not think it’s important to know who the president of Uzbekistan is, but he might want to brush up on his knowledge of the constitution. The GOP candidate told Christian Broadcasting Network that he would sign a constitutional amendment banning abortion.

Yet another toxin that the government will force upon your children without regard to the Constitution.

Panel Recommends HPV Vaccine for Young Boys

Boys ages 11 and 12 years should be routinely vaccinated against the human papillomavirus, or HPV, to protect against anal, mouth and neck cancers that can result from sexual activity, a federal advisory committee said.

Friend – Rick Perry and politics aside, I chose this vaccine for my children.

G- Eminem – And that is exactly how it should be. You CHOOSING.

“A system has grown up that encouraged enormous debt for nonperforming assets, namely, schooling in things that won’t pay off. People are still falling for it. But markets aren’t mocked forever. There has to be some painful write-down in central bank-distorted asset values before the economy can regain solid footing. This is just as true for higher education as it is for real estate.”

How College Has Killed Wealth Creation

College is not necessary for most people. The preoccupation with college has left America bereft of its former ability to create wealth. An unhealthy cultural myth has flourished that says everyone must go to college and get an advanced degree, even if it’s something for which there is virtually zer…

If you want proof positive that evil, cupidity, and self-delusion resides deep in the heart of every man, you need look no further than the Minnesota GOP’s 180 on the Legacy Amendment.

9 months ago the Legacy Amendment was a constitutional monstrosity, a permanent tax for things far outside the scope and roll of government. Repeal efforts were vowed to be undertaken.

Today the once revolutionary majority is complicit in trying to redirect said funding to pay for the entertainment of suburban, middle-aged white guys at the expense of those who can least afford it.

I guess that’s what they call taking care of your base.

Hey, Sconnies, see how much your county has saved thanks to Scott Walker’s reforms.

Reforms & Results

The Au and Ag charts tell me they know this E.U. save-the-Euro deal is a bunch of crap.

I know next to nothing about Pitbull except that he drinks Dr. Pepper and Bud Light. #totalsellout

Sens. Dave Thompson and David Hann are taxpayer heroes and the conscience of their caucus:

G-Eminem isn’t going to settle.

George Will column on Mitt Romney: ‘Has conservatism come so far … for THIS?’ – Alexander Burns

George Will bashes Mitt Romney as a candidate lacking in principle, who’s “not only becoming less electable, he might damage GOP chances of capturing the Senate.”

Political Fluency – So… ummmm… if both you and George are in a New Hampshire primary booth together – after you two do your thing – who are you two going to vote for?
There’s only one choice.

And Politico is right. Conservatives can lose the Presidency in 2012 and it won’t be a big deal as long as no conservative justices retire.
If Obama loses, even a Mitt Romney presidency with Republican control of both the House and Senate will be the best opportunity in decades conservatives have had to undo a lot of Democratic policies.

G-Eminem – I bought that bill of goods c.2002-2006. Instead, I got more of the same. Nein, danke.

Political Fluency – And how much did you like the 2009-2010 version only the complete opposite?

G-Eminem – I was largely unable to distinguish the two epochs. The first got me Medicare Part D. The second got me ObamaCare.

Political Fluency – Both got me a pain in the prostate.
